Anna has completed a Masters in Applied Positive Psychology and Graduate Certificate in Positive Psychology at the University of Melbourne, obtaining first class honours in both courses. She also has a plethora of experience working with corporates, including a decade in financial services. Combining her education and experience, she speaks, coaches, trains and writes about sustainable ways to improve workplace performance while feeling better along the way.
“that's the idea behind the strengths based approach where we don't focus on what's wrong. We focus on what's strong and we actually make it better”
“ I think we all need to hear positive feedback more. And it shouldn't be something that we save up for once a year during a performance review. It should be something that we're doing in the moment and as regularly as possible”
“ positive psychology is not just about chasing happiness or positivity, but it is about wellbeing and with wellbeing, that doesn't mean that we don't experience discomfort or we don't go through challenges”
“One of the things that we really crave as human beings is to be seen and to be valued and to be appreciated. So when someone calls out our strengths, it ticks all those boxes.”
“ One of the first questions I ask is, is it busy proof? So on your busiest day, your busiest week, are you still going to be able to do, do that thing?"
"Think about, why are you truly doing this? Are you doing something for the sake of it? Or is it something that's actually intrinsically important to you as well?"
“ wellbeing does occur when we're connected to ourselves, we're connected to others, and we're connected that to our purpose. And I think if we can master each of those, we are going to feel incredibly fulfilled and satisfied in our life.”
“And we love holidays. Of course, we love breaks. It gives us that space. We, can recover and re-energize, and come back feeling really refreshed. But unfortunately, they are band aid solutions.”
